  6.    This document gives installation advice, and should be read
  7.    entirely before running INSTALL.EXE to install the software.
  8.  
  9.    As with any "beta test software," you assume the full risk and
  10.    responsibility associated with running this program on your
  11.    computer. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you BACKUP your system's
  12.    data before installing.

  26.    The documentation included with this BETA is extremely limited;
  27.    please check the Virtual ComTech BBS at 616-399-4818 or the
  28.    Virtual ComTech Web Site at http://virtualc.com for new
  29.    documentation updates as they become available.

  31.    Experienced VBBS SysOps should not have too many problems
  32.    understanding the basics of Virtual Advanced, as it has
  33.    its roots in VBBS.
  34.  
  35.    2. Installing on System with Existing VBBS Installation
  36.  
  37.    It is STRONGLY URGED that VBBS SysOps DO NOT attempt to
  38.    install Virtual Advanced on top of their existing VBBS
  39.    installations right away. It is highly recommended that they
  40.    install a NEW INSTALLATION on a different drive or directory,
  41.    and get aquainted with the new software before trying to
  42.    upgrade their actual BBS. Also, do not forget to BACKUP!
  43.  
  44.    3. Upgrade Offer for VBBS SysOps (Existing Customers)
  45.  
  46.    Until March 1, 1996, VBBS SysOps can purchase an unlocking
  47.    key for Virtual Advanced ver 1 for the nominal fee of $12.
  48.    And thats not all. We'll also include a free unlocking key
  49.    to ver 1 of the Virtual Windows Internet Connectivity Kit, 
  50.    an add-on kit that gives V/A for DOS, or V/A for OS2, live 
  51.    Internet capabilities. This special expires soon!
  52.    
  53.    Orders can placed by mail (check/money order) or by
  54.    BBS (Visa/Mastercard). Orders placed through the Virtual
  55.    ComTech International, Inc. BBS at 616-399-4818 or 616-399-8791
  56.    can be picked up on the BBS in email, making it possible for
  57.    you to get your new unlocking codes quickly and easily.

  59.    4. Installing a New BBS
  60.  
  61.    If you are new, and do not have experience with our products,
  62.    setting up this particular beta may be somewhat challenging due
  63.    to the lack of documentation. You are more then welcome to give
  64.    it a try, however, and you should check our BBS and/or Web Site
  65.    for an updated beta, an official release, or an updated doc zip.

  67.    5. Special Offer for New SysOps (New Customers)

  69.    Until March 1, 1996, New Customers can purchase a 2-channel
  70.    version of Virtual Advanced ver 1 for a mere $65. That's $14 off
  71.    the regular price. And it doesn't stop there, we'll also include a
  72.    free unlocking key to ver 1 of the Virtual Windows Internet
  73.    Connectivity Kit, and add-on kit that gives V/A for DOS, or
  74.    V/A for OS2, live Internet capabilities.

  98.        The collection of files that constitute the Virtual Advanced
  99.        software program, the script language, the underlying data
  100.        structures, and all proprietary algorithms are protected by 
  101.        US Copyright Law, and are Copyright (C) Roland De Graaf 1995-1996.

  103.        The "shareware" or "demo" version of Virtual Advanced, and scripts,
  104.        utiltities, and other works based on Virtual Advanced, may be freely 
  105.        distributed via BBS, on-line service, and the Internet, with the 
  106.        following list of exceptions:

  108.        1. The Business Board BBS, located in Texas

  112.        Should this distribution policy be violated by any organization
  113.        in the above list, the royalty fee shall be $1000 per download
  114.        occurence, and by making the file(s) available for download the
  115.        organization agrees to these terms.

  117.        Additionally, UNLOCKING KEYS may NOT be distributed under any
  118.        circumstances, and to do so is a violation of criminal and
  119.        civil law. Every UNLOCKING KEY is personalized and trackable.
